LHS/NHS Internship Program

Welcome to the Work-Based Learning (ie. Internship) website. My name is Robert Shaffer, and as the WBL Coordinator I am here to assist students in gaining experience and skills to pursue their future career goals.

Students: I am here to help you 'test drive' your future career before you take the time and money in pursuit of it after high school. Get a 'leg-up' on your peers by gaining knowledge, skills, connections, and experience while still in high school. You go to your internship during two class periods of the school day. The Internship Program is for seniors, with a suggested GPA of 3.0, no Us, and their own transportation to/from their workplace location.

DECA Knights

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. DECA will involve students in community service, career exploration, socialization, competition, and leadership activities. This year's International Career Development Conference will be held in Atlanta, GA. Membership for this organization is $20.00 a year.

CFA Leadership Academy

This leadership program is fully sponsored and paid for by partnerships between our local CFA, Coca-Cola and Chick-fil-A, Inc. This program focuses on developing leadership skills/experience, community involvement, and community service. Interested students can apply by clicking on the image above.
